Coal Truck Collides With Gasoline Coach On L. V. R. R. Crossing
Accident Occurs During Snow Storm

A loaded coal truck collided with the rear end of the Ligonier Valley railroad gasoline coach at the Hillsview avenue crossing near the Latrobe Electric Steel company plant during a snow storm about 11:50 oclock this morning.
No one was injured but both the coach and the truck were damaged.
Batteries were knocked off the gasoline coach, putting it out of commission. Passengers who were enroute to the Latrobe station, were taken on to their destination by bus. Mail which was aboard the gasoline coach was transferred in the same way.

The coal truck was being operated by Earl Hoffman, of Latrobe R. D. 3. He was traveling east in the direction of the No. 1 school house.
It is believed that snow obscured his vision, so that he did not notice the gasoline coach approaching on its way to Latrobe. The truck was swung around but did not upset, after the front end plunged into the rear of the gasoline coach.
