Ligonier Valley Railroads Unpaid Tax Over $10,000
Washington, Jan. 2. - The Interstate Commerce Commission has ruled that the Ligonier Valley Railroad Company, extending from Latrobe to Fort Palmer, a distance of 16 miles, owes the Federal Government $10,964.34 as the unpaid balance of a tax on excess net railway operating income amounting to $74,129.61.
The railroad is ordered to make payment of the alleged deficiency before February 9. The taxes are due for the years from 1920 to 1926, inclusive.
