Train Carried 39 Passengers
The Sunday evening train on the Ligonier Valley Railroad, which had its first run last Sunday, will be given a further trial next Sunday, before any decision as to retaining it permanently on the summer schedule is made. This announcement was made Monday morning from the office of Joseph P. Gochnour, Jr., general manager of the company.
A total of 39 passengers were carried Sunday evening during the round trip, but this is not considered as representative of the number who would make use of the train if it should be run regularly. For this reason another trial trip is to be made next Sunday
evening.
Of the passengers who traveled on the train Sunday, 18 got on at Ligonier, 15 at Darlington and the other six boarded the train at the Latrobe station, to make the return trip to Darlington and Ligonier.
