Span Will Eliminate Steep Grade On Lincoln
An arch 70 feet long will be built at Kellys Hollow according to an announcement of the Westmoreland county commissioners. This will eliminate a steep grade on the Lincoln highway. Bids are now being received from the contractors.
The county plans to fill in the hollow and build the bridge. The decision to construct the arch was reached following decision of court that the county was responsible for the maintenance of the span. The delay in replacing the bridge caused the state to hold up concreting the highway near Kellys Hollow.
