Suit For Damages Against the L.V.R.R...
Suit was entered against the Ligonier Valley Railroad Company for a total of $7,500, yesterday, in the Westmoreland county courts. Jennie Marie Wallace, of Sharpsburg, through her father, Blair Wallace, asks for $5,000 and the father asks for $2,500. The suit is based on the claim that on July 14th, 1917, while a passenger on the defendants road, the girl slipped and fell, while getting off a train at Idlewild, causing her to sustain a fractured ankle. It is alleged that the accident was due to the failure of the company to provide a proper place for passengers to alight.
