Tie-Up Is Bad on L.V.R.R.
Not more than five per cent of the customary amount of freight is being taken from the L.V.R.R. by the Pennsylvania railroad, now that the embargo is on, the percentage being an indication as to the severity with which the embargo has hit the industries located along the smaller road.
Government freight and railroad coal constitute about everything that is being accepted by the Pennsy.
The embargo was still on, this morning, with nothing further being known as to how much longer it might be necessary to continue it.
The scarcity of empty cars was as striking as ever, this morning.
Last night, the L.V.R.R. secured a half dozen or so empties, and an engine puffed away toward Ligonier with them, apparently all puffed up over the capture of some cars, at least.
