Good Words For Ligonier Valley
E. C. Ramsey, of the Ramsey Coal company at Ligonier, was in Greensburg Friday transacting legal business. At the present time great activity exists in the coal district a few miles north of Ligonier. Mines are being worked to full capacity and the miners are getting good wages. The coal company which is operating along the southern shore of the Loyalhanna, just opposite the Ligonier Valley passenger station, although it is only a four-foot vein of coal, is producing a large amount of fuel for home consumption. Occasionally a farmer in the district south of Ligonier finds sale for his coal and it is likely that the district will be developed in a few years. The old home "banks" around the hills have a constant demand for coal. Greensburg Record.
