Another Sign of Winters Approach P. W. & S. To Halt Operations
Again the people living out from Ligonier and on to Somerset, who have been accustomed to using the P. S. & S. Railroad to reach their destination, will have to resort to the horse or automobile as orders have been issued stating that after the twenty-third day of this month, all freight and passenger service will be discontinued, over that line.
Although no definite reason was stated on the order, it is generally supposed that the rigors of Winter make expedient the closing down of the road.
It will be recalled last winter the passenger service was discontinued for some time, but later traffic was resumed.
