Two Injured When Train Gets Away
John Wolsage, aged 21, of Ligonier, had his right leg broken in two places and a man named Christman had his ankle sprained, yesterday afternoon, when a train composed of four cars and an engine ran off, on the private road of the Ligonier Lumber Company, near Waterford. The train was being moved when the wheels started to slip on the wet tracks, and it soon was beyond control. Wolsage was knocked off by a sudden jolt.
The train dashed down the mountain for several hundred feet when the engine jumped the track and a big pile-up of cars and logs resulted. All the men escaped injury except the two mentioned.
Wolsage was brought to the Latrobe Hospital, last night. An Ex-Ray picture, this morning, disclosed a serious fracture.
