Cars to Be Scarce on Pennsy
W. V. Hyland, the superintendent of the L. V. R. R., has received word from the Pennsylvania railroad that in all probability it would be unable to provide extra coaches for special picnic occasions, owning to the demands likely to develop in connection with the movement of troops to the border. Should it be necessary to transport the National Guard, hundreds of cars would be needed, and the equipment of all the railroads would be taxed to the utmost.
The inability of the P. R. R. to provide coaches will not interfere with any of the arrangements for local picnics, as the L. V. R. R. is provided with sufficient equipment to handle all outings from this point.
