Jury Awards $10,000 Damages To C. H. Kuhn
Charles H. Kuhn, of Ligonier, conductor on the ill-fated passenger train which was wrecked on the Wilpen branch of the Ligonier Valley Railroad, the afternoon of July 5, 1912, and in which wreck twenty-three people were killed and a number were injured, of which number Mr. Kuhn was one, received a verdict from the jury Thursday morning of last week for $10,000 against the Ligonier Valley Railroad company. The case was on trial from Monday morning and the jury deliberated about one hour Wednesday evening after they received the charge from Judge A. D. McConnell. The verdict was sealed and returned in open court Thursday morning. Mr. Kuhn had brought suit claiming $25,000 damages for injuries received.
