Conductor Knox To Contest Payment of Fine for Blocking Crossing
Conductor Harry Knox who was in charge of the freight train which became stalled on the Fairmont Street crossing, two weeks ago, and who was fined $25, on the ground that the crossing had been blocked a longer time than necessary, has taken out a writ of certiorari, having determined to contest the payment of the fine. The conductor secured a transcript of the docket, last Friday, preparatory to going to Greensburg in quest of the writ which was issued, this morning.
The case will now be considered by the court, to determine whether or not there were any irregularities in the proceedings. The (unreadable) is returnable the second Monday of March.
