May Electrify Road

A rumor persistently circulated during the week is to the effect that ownership of the P. W. & S. R. R. has changed hands and that it will be electrified by the new owners early next summer and operated thereafter as a trolley line between Somerset and Ligonier. The road was built originally as a lumber road, but eight or nine years ago was extended from the top of the Laurel Hill mountain to Somerset, since when it has been operated as a freight and passenger road.
