Former Conductor Kuhns Suit Set For the 29th

Monday, November 29th, is the date set for the trial of the suit for $25,000 damages, instituted by ex-Conductor Chas. H. Kuhn, of Ligonier, against the L. V. R. R., as the result of injuries which he sustained in the wreck on the Wilpen Branch, more than three years ago. The former conductors statement of claim was filed recently. In it he sets forth the circumstances under which he claims the wreck occurred, alleging, among other things that he started his passenger train for Wilpen at the scheduled time, without having been notified by the company that the latter, by special order, had directed a freight train to run from Wilpen to Latrobe, on the same track. He also claims that the company was without a proper system of orders or signals for running trains. He states that he had been in the employ of the company since 1881, that at the time of the wreck he was receiving a salary of $100 a month, and that in the wreck he received injuries of so serious a character, that for a long time his life hung in the balance.
