P. W. & S. Road Tied Up By Drifts Too Deep For Engines To Cleave

Once again has the P. W. & S. been put out of commission by snow. The train leaving Ligonier, last night, was unable to make it through to Somerset on account of the heavy drifts and brought the passengers back to Ligonier, after a vain effort to buck through. The situation was worse this morning as more snow fell, last night.

The snow played havoc with the Pennsy schedule this morning, trains ranging from one to three hours late.

Train 35, due at Latrobe at 6:47, was the one most delayed, being tow hours and forty-five minutes behind time. The other morning trains were an hour late. Train 37, which is due at Latrobe at 8:24, and stops only to discharge passengers from New York, arrived at 10:15, this morning, and took on passengers for Pittsburgh.

The eastbound trains were a little behind schedule time, but were not so seriously handicapped.
