Ligonier Cases To Come Up Next Week
According to present plans, five of the damage suits against the L.V.R.R., growing out of the Wilpen wreck, will be tried, next week, the first one being called Monday morning.
The cases embrace those of Dr. J. B. Johnston, who asks for $30,000 for injuries received; Myrtle Ankney, who lost her husband in the wreck, and asks for $18,000 damages; W. Miles Tosh, a relative of whom was killed, who wants $5,000 damages; Bessie Hoon and other members of her family, whose father was killed, asking $15,000, and Carl R. Eicher, whose father was killed, wanting damages to the extent of $5,000. The last case is a peculiar one owing to the fact that a settlement had been reached with other members of the Eicher family. This alleged heir, it is said, was not considered when the settlement was made, and suit was brought.
