Enter Suit Over Tract of Timber
An action of ejectment to recover possession of 4000 acres of land in Ligonier township was filed in the prothonotary's office, Wednesday. Julia B. Glass, Sarah G. Blackson, Imogen L. Wagoner and Joseph Wagoner are the plaintiffs and John and Samuel Seger, Continental Land Company, J. C. Beck, George Brown, Columbia Coal and Coke Company, A. A. Engle Lumber Company, Thomas Watson, trustee of the Kendall Lumber Company and the Ligonier Lumber Company are defendants. The tract claimed by the plaintiffs was surveyed on a warrant issued by the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, January 15, 1794, to Mary Davenport, and is known as the "Mary Davenport" tract.
