P. W. & S. Road Is Open Again, Snow Shoveled Off Tracks
By reason of the snow which was heavy, in the mountains, Sunday, and which drifted badly in sports, the Pittsburgh, Westmoreland and Somerset Railroad was tied up. The passenger train ran into one of the largest of the drifts, Sunday, and was stalled. The passengers, aboard the train, bound for Ligonier, were held up for some time, while the train was being dug out. All traffic on the line was suspended, from Sunday on, and agents were directed not to sell any tickets for points along the line, until further notice. Yesterday afternoon the road was re-opened, the afternoon train having gotten through.
