Putting In Coal Washer
With the idea of going after the very best trade in the coke line, the Unity-Connellsville Coal and Coke Co., is going to install a big washer at its Elizabeth plant, located on the Joseph Easton farm south of Latrobe. The washer is to be similar in design to the one used by the Latrobe-Connellsville Company. With the washer in service, the Unity-Connellsville Company believes it will be able to turn out a coke of the very highest grade enabling it to cater to the very best market. The company has been keeping the Elizabeth plant ovens going steadily, throughout the slump, making seventy-two hour coke.
