Ligonier Wreck Cases Go Over to Another Term
Over to another term have gone the two damage suits against the L.V.R.R., listed for the present term of court.
The two cases were the suit of Dr. J. B. Johnston, injured in the Wilpen branch disaster; and the suit of Mrs. Ankney, whose husband lost his life in the same wreck.
The two cases were on the list for this week, and seventy or more witnesses went to
Greensburg, yesterday, expecting that the suits would be called for trial. The suit of Dr. Johnston was to be tried first.
Robbins and Wyant, the L.V.R.R. attorneys, were busy all day, yesterday, however, with another case, and it was decided, this morning, not to take up the wreck cases, leaving them go over to the next term.
Several other suits, growing out of the wreck, have been instituted against the company, but they were not listed for the present term.
