Siding Being Constructed For Industry
The Latrobe Electric Steel Company is now occupying its new office building, erected on the site chosen for the new plant; while railroad men are busy, installing the siding. The company expects to award the contract for the foundation of the main building, this wee, so as to have the substructure ready by the time the building arrives. The building is now in process of fabrication and is expected to arrive some time during the coming month. The contract calls for it to be in place by the first week in July. A Mr.
Armstrong, of New Castle, arrived this morning, to take the position of chief clerk with the company. He will bring his family here as quickly as he finds a suitable house.
The foundation is practically ready for the new plant of the Latrobe Tool Company, being built to the east of town. The building is to be of brick 40 by 100 feet, and it is to be put up as quickly as possible. The chances are that both new industries will get going by the middle of summer.
