Newly Elected Superintendent
W. V. Hyland, of L.V.R.R., Formerly Member of North Braddock Council.
The newly-elected superintendent of the Ligonier Valley Railroad Company, William V. Hyland, was president of North Braddock borough council for three years and is a leading official of the McClintoc-Marshall Construction Company's plant in Rankin. Mr. Hyland assumed his new duties Wednesday, January 1.
Mr. Hyland has gained distinction in recent years because of his fight for the abolition of grade crossings on the Pennsylvania Railroad between Braddock and North Braddock boroughs, and it has been largely through his tireless efforts that the consummation of this project is now almost completed at Fourth street, 6th street and Verona street, Braddock.
Mr. Hyland was chosen superintendent of the Ligonier Valley Railroad as the meeting
of the board of directors at the close of 1912.
