Accident on P. W. & S.

Last Saturday evening when the passenger train of the P. W. & S. railroad which leaves Ligonier at 7 o'clock for Somerset, had gone a short distance south of the bridge which crosses the Loyalhanna near the site of the former location of the Byers-Allen lumber mill at edge of town, the rails of the track spread for some cause and the car left the track, causing some slight damage to the car, tearing up the railroad track for a short distance and giving the passengers a shaking up, but fortunately no one was hurt. The passengers were brought back to Ligonier in another car by the company and the work of repairing the track and getting the engine back onto the track commenced at once which was completed during Saturday night and the trains were running as usual Sunday morning.
