aton Bros. Sold Coal
Joseph Easton and Jacob Easton, of the South Side, owners of the Bollinger tract of coal, located back of the Eaton farm, and which contains about fifty acres of coal; have been notified by Owen J. Murphy that the option which Mr. Murphy secured on the coal some months ago, had been accepted and that he was prepared to take over the coal at price at once. The consideration is said to be in the neighborhood of $15,000, or about $300 per acre. Coke ovens will be erected and the product shipped over the L.V.R.R. The Eaton Brothers are natives of Ligonier township, having been born and raised near Mechanicsburg.
