New Appointments
L. H. Allen To Succeed Late Captain N. Byers
L. H. Allen, of Buffalo, who is well known in Ligonier, being associated with the Byers-Allen Lumber Co., and the P. W. & S. railroad since their beginning eight years ago, has been made the successor of the late Capt. N. Byers in both these and Mr. Allen will necessarily spend more of his time in Ligonier than heretofore. We are glad to know that Mr. Allen has taken the matters in hand which means that these enterprises will be kept in the front rank of advancement.
Mr. Allen has appointed C. H. Baum, who has held a prominent position with above companies for about two years to personally represent him during his absence in Buffalo. Mr. Baum is well qualified for the position. John W. Baker, who has been with the P. W & S. company since its beginning, has been promoted to superintendent of the railroad. We are glad to mention these worthy promotions which will be of an advantage to these
enterprises and to the people of Ligonier valley.
