Coal Business
Shenango Furnace Co. and Old Colony Coal & Coke Co. Rushing
The business at both the above plants near town is pushing right along. Many car loads of coal and coke are being shipped daily over the L.V.R.R. to Latrobe from the Old Colony plant and the work out on the Lytle farm at the opening of the mines and the grading and building of a reservoir by the Shenango furnace Co. is progressing. Soon operations will be begun on the extension of the L.V.R.R. to this plant that shipment of material may be made and later of coal and coke products.
