Railroad Reported Sold
It is reported in financial circles that the Westmoreland Central railroad has been sold to eastern capitalists. A charter has been granted for this road which extends from Bolivar up the valley to Ligonier and thence up the Loyalhanna creek into Donegal township and through to connect with the B&O road. In connection with the sale it is said the road will be built through from Bolivar to Ligonier in the near future, thus opening up the coal fields of that section to the markets of the world.
