Big Idlewild Picnic
Last Thursday the Greensburg merchants held their annual picnic at Idlewild. This was the largest picnic at Idlewild this season and was one of the most pleasant and orderly picnics one could expect. There was plenty of enjoyment and everybody was happy. There were three large sections of trains carrying about 1500 people each. It is estimated that fully 5,000 people were in attendance counting those from Ligonier and Latrobe who were present to meet their Greensburg friends. There were no accidents and everything passed off very pleasantly. Latrobe merchants held their annual picnic at Idlewild yesterday, but we have received no report of it yet.
