Work on the coke ovens of the Colonial Coal & Coke Co. is progressing and the ovens and coal tipple will soon be completed.
The extension of the line of the L.V.R.R. up Mill Creek has been completed as far as the bridge which is to cross the creek. This is to meet the branch road of the Westmoreland Central which is being built at present up to the coke ovens, and the coal and coke will be shipped over the Ligonier Valley Railroad to Latrobe and to its final
destination.
