The Reformed (German) churches, of Pittsburgh, and those located on the Pennsylvania road out as far as Latrobe, held a grand harvest home picnic at Idlewild yesterday. About 15 congregations were represented, and three long trains were required to accommodate the guests.
After a bountiful repast, furnished by the ladies of the various congregations, address were made by Rev. C. R. Diffenbacher, of Greensburg; N. H. Skiles, D.D., of Jeannette, and Rev. F. Pilgrim, of Irwin. Between the addresses music was furnished by the Greensburg City Band. The pleasant affair was under the direction of Rev. D. R. Hartzeil, of Latrobe. About 3,000 persons were present.
