A Steel Works Switch
The contract for that portion of the steel works switch, from the Monastery Coke works to the creek has been graded by contractor Gaynor. A port of this switch and the bridge will be trestle work and this has been let to Cathrows & Irwin. The remaining part of the grading from the creek to the works has not yet been let as it is being done by the steel works people.
The Hostetter Branch
Work on the grading of the Hostetter branch of the P.R.R. is being rushed by contractor Gaynor and will all be completed by June first, the contract time. The unsettled weather has been against rapid work on this branch, but notwithstanding this, everything has been moved rapidly. Mr. Gaynor thoroughly understands his business and is one of the most reliable as well as the most popular contractors.
