PUC Approves Grade Crossing in Latrobe
Construction of a grade crossing at James street, Latrobe, over the Ligonier Valley Railroad, to permit direct access to schools, churches and industrial establishments was authorized today by the Public Utility Commission.
The Commission said children residing in a residential section east of the tracks now cross the tracks daily at James street to attend a grade and high school and that representative of the borough, schools and others testified to the need of a crossing. There were no protests.
