Diamond Coal Company To Develop 100 Acres
A new coal mine, for the development of 100 acres of coal, is to be opened soon at Fort Palmer, by the Diamond Coal Company of Ligonier.
The siding for the new mine has already been run in, and work is now underway on the erection of a tipple. J. L. Nicely, of Youngstown, is in charge of the tipple erection work.
Actual mining of coal will be begun as soon as the preliminary work is finished. Work on the project is being rushed. The coal adjoins the Shenango tract.
