I.O.O.F. Going To Idlewild July 30
All roads lead to Idlewild Park, Thursday, July 30. It is Odd Fellows Day, and Odd Fellows, Rebekahs and thousands of friends of Western Pennsylvania are invited, are expected, and will be given a great outing in nature's real park at the foot-hills of Chestnut Ridge.
Committees from Greensburg, Latrobe, Derry, Ligonier, Pleasant Unity, Youngwood, New Alexandria, Adamsburg, Jeannette, Penn, Manor, Irwin and others have been busy arranging for the big picnic for some time, and all Lodges of Westmoreland County and of Western Pennsylvania have been invited to join the outing, and all friends will also be
invited.
The special train, with excursion rates will start at Pittsburgh at 8:05 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, making all leading stops and will be a great convenience. Returning it will leave Idlewild at 7:00 p.m.
As there will be free coffee served and remembrances given the "Kiddies," baseball games, dancing after-noon and moon-light dance in the evening, races, contests, boating, stunts and various other amusements, there will be no dull moments on Odd Fellows Day at Idlewild.
The slogan is: "On to Idlewild July 30." Get your "set" or crowd to reserve this date
for the biggest and best ever. The committees welcome all, and say, "meet us at the cool retreat near Ligonier."
