New Mail Schedule
Owing to the change in the Train Schedule it will be necessary for all mail to be deposited in the Post Office by 5:45 a.m. Noon mail not later than 12:20 p.m. and the afternoon mail not later than 3:45, as it is necessary for all mail to be classified and tied in separate packages for each town or city. It is a great inconvenience to Postal clerks to untie a package in order to dispatch a letter that is delivered after time, and is the cause of holding the mail messenger who must have his sacks locked ready to leave office 15 minutes before train time. We hope our patrons will comply with above request.
We received an invoice yesterday for 5 large metal letter boxes which is the first bill for fixtures for Village Delivery to be installed on July 1st.
