Engine Jumped The Track
As one of the Ligonier freight engines was shifting some cars down the private branch of the Latrobe Electric Steel Company it jumped the track. It was just about time for the Ligonier passenger train to pull in and the train was flagged. Many of the passengers got off and walked in to town or caught a street car. After a considerable delay the passenger engine succeeded in pulling the derailed engine back onto the track and the passenger train was then able to get through to the local station although it was an hour late.
