Railroad in Face of Boom
Latrobe, Pa. April 10. With Western Pennsylvania experiencing its greatest industrial boom, the Pittsburg, Westmoreland and Somerset Railroad today discontinued its passenger-carrying business.
Unless business pick up, officials said today, the freight business of the line will be discontinued and road will practically go out of business. It is a small line but taps a rich section.
