Cars Away From Latrobe Crossings
The Latrobe Bulletin in speaking of the meeting of the Latrobe councilman authorities with Superintendent W. V. Hyland, of the L.V.R.R., says that the disposition of Mr. Hyland to do all he could to solve the crossing problem seems very evident. Mr. Hyland stated that he was satisfied that the standing of cars away from the crossings would be a decided advantage from the public standpoint and that he would see that orders so providing would be strictly obeyed and other arrangement for the safety of people crossing the railroad would be made including an underground or overhead bridge especially for use of school children. Other crossing matters were gone over carefully. The Bulletin has the following: "The local officials seemed highly pleased over the attitude shown by the railroad man and over the prospect of further relief from the dangers the crossings embody.
