Auto Bus Is Being Built For Segar Bros.
Something big in the auto-bus line is being turned out by the Latrobe Carriage
Company for Segar Brothers, of Ligonier. The Carriage Company is making a body for a White-gas truck that will seat 35 or 40 passengers. It will be 20 feet in length, having almost the proportions of a small-sized street car.
The bus is to be put into service by Segar Brothers during the coming Spring. It hasn't been decided, definitely, just what will be done with it, but several plans will be tried out, including a service between Latrobe and Ligonier, also a service between Ligonier and Wilpen.
Whether a regular service will pay or not, will be determined by a trial. Segar Brothers expect, at all events, to have a paying proposition out of the bus, by running it to Latrobe,
to Derry and to other points, upon Summer evenings, when they expect to have no
trouble in filling it up with passengers desirous of a cool ride thru the ridge.
