Contract for New Railroad Is Awarded

Carson & Joyce, contractors of DuBois, have been awarded the contract for the construction of the new railroad to be built by the Ligonier Lumber Company, from Oak Grove, past Kissell's Springs, into the mountains.

Work has already been started upon the grading, and the construction is to be hurried along as rapidly as possible. The grade is an easy one as far as Kissell's, and fast time can be made upon it.

The Ligonier Lumber Company is pushing ahead with its plans for the locating of its mills at Oak Grove, and it expects to be underway within the near future.

The company is going to have a passenger coach attached to its logging trains, and is going to maintain a passenger service between Kissell's and Oak Grove.
