Ligonier Valley Railroad About Decided to Put On Night Train Connecting With Pennsy's New Train
A night train from Ligonier to Latrobe and back is likely to be a development of the coming month.
The company has been contemplating the innovation for several days, or ever since the first proofs of the Summer schedule on the Pennsy were received, showing that beginning on the 25th of May, Latrobe would have an additional night train westward, leaving here at 9:31.
A night train over the L.V.R.R., leaving Ligonier at nine or thereabouts, would be able
to make close connections with the west bound train, and also with Fast Line east.
Should the night train be added to the road's schedule, it would be put on for the three months of June, July and August, when the visitors to the Summer resort are numerous and when the opportunity of spending the evening in Ligonier would be most enticing. Should the patronage seem to justify it, the train might be kept on regularly.
The train would be a big convenience for Ligonier people, as well as for the Summer visitors, enabling them to get home from east or west, at night, or to make connections with the nigh trains in case of going away.
