Company Says Conductor Was Responsible

The Ligonier Valley Railroad Company, yesterday, filed with the State Railroad Commission at Harrisburg, a report concerning the wreck of July fifth, on the Wilpen branch. The company, according to the excerpts from the report made public at Harrisburg, places the responsibility on Conductor Kuhn.

"Conductor Kuhn," it states, "either forgetful or unmindful of his order, started out on the trip to Wilpen, contrary to instructions issued him."

In another place, the company is quoted as saying: "The combination car on this occasion was run ahead of the engine, contrary to practice and contrary to orders."

Coroner McMurray is still unable to fix a time for the holding of the inquest, owing to the fact that Conductor Kuhn is still far from being able to attend it. The inquest, when it is held, will be held in Ligonier.
