Elks Picnic At Idlewild
Many Thousands of Order Enjoy Big Outing
The B.P.O. Elks picnic at Idlewild Tuesday of last week was the largest held there for some years. It required eight P.R.R. trains, several L.V.R.R. trains and many automobiles to convey the people. It is estimated that fully 8,000 were present. More than 1,000 tickets were sold at the park for Ligonier. About 1,000 picnic people took dinner at the different Ligonier hotels, the Ligonier Springs Hotel having almost 400 for dinner. Ligonier looked like old times with big picnic crowds from Idlewild. The picnic was a great success and there were special features of all kinds for the amusement of the crowds.
