Last Friday Witnessed Longest Train Even Hauled Over This Road
Coal And Coke Train Leaves Mines
Last Thursday there was sent over the Ligonier Valley Railroad from the coal mines north of town the longest train of loaded cars ever passing over this road. There were eighty-five cars in the train consisting of coal and coke gotten at the coal and coke works north of town. This train up to the present time is a record breaker so far as this section is concerned and emphasizes the fact that we are in a prosperous condition in Ligonier. Ligonier valley's coal interests are being developed in a way that is a surprise to the people of this valley. Our "black diamonds" are a great source of wealth to Ligonier valley and is making of it a wonderful commercial center.
