Car Damaged By Fire
The Whitney branch passenger train, consisting of one car, came near going up in smoke, this morning the car having caught on fire from an overheated stove, while lying on the L.V.R.R. "Y." The blaze was discovered by the baggagemaster on the L.V.R.R. morning train, and was extinguished by the railroad men who responded to the cry of "fire." The car was damaged to the extent of $50.00
