Clarence Beatty Injured
A Small Wreck On P. W. & S. At Brant's Curve

A slight wreck occurred on Thanksgiving forenoon on the P. W. & S. R. R. at the curve at Brant's residence near town, as the freight was coming around the curve. The first car jumped the track and tore it up for quite a distance, having uncoupled from the engine. The car ran with considerable force into the bank at upper side of the road and damaged it to a considerable extent.

Clarence Beatty, of town, the conductor of the train, was standing on the car and was thrown from it to the track, painfully bruising his hip and slightly injuring him otherwise. He was placed on the engine, brought to town and taken to his home where he received medical attention. His injuries were not serious.
