Laurel Hill Stone Quarry
The Company Organized And Getting Ready For Work
The members of the Laurel Hill Blue Stone Quarry completed an organization of the company last Saturday and are now at work getting ready to commence operations on the mountain to prepare the quarry by properly opening it at the place where the stones were quarried for the Ligonier M. C. church on the line of the P W. & S. R. R. so that shipment of block stones can soon be made.
A dwelling house is being put up and a family is wanted to move into it to board the men and a number of additional laborers are wanted by the company to push forward the opening of the quarry as rapidly as possible before beginning of the cold weather. The five men forming the company are all good honest workmen who understand the business of block making and we bespeak for them success in this new enterprise. As we said last week, it will be an advantage to Ligonier and we desire its success.
