The Peters Coal Mine

James Peters, Jr., has charge of the coal operations on the A. B. Myers farm north of town and not far from the mines of the Colonial Coal & Coke Co. The grading of the track has been completed from the mines to the line of the H. R. Marker heirs tract of land through which the road will run to make connection with the L.V.R.R. No agreement has yet been made with the Marker people for right of way, but it is expected that in a short I me some arrangement can be made and that coal will soon be shipped over the road to the Peters paper mills at Kingston for which the product of the mines will be used requiring about five car loads a day. Local diggers will be employed to mine the coal.
