Our Organization Is Complete: With the above prosperous business and professional men heading this enterprise we feel worthy of your confidence. The Company's holdings consist of 6,000 acres of choice coal and timber land in Westmoreland and Somerset counties. Several hundred acres in Westmoreland county near Ligonier is underlaid with the famous seam of Pittsburg and Connellsville coking coal running from six to nine feet in thickness, free from slate. Drift mines can be operated without stem and heavy machines.
Near all the above acreage is owned in fee simple, and contains the Freeport's and other lower measures of coal as well as being heavily timbered in hemlock chestnut, poplar, white and red oak, wildcherry, etc.
Coking tests have been made of the Pittsburg and Connellsville seam and proves highly satisfactory.
The object of the company is complete a No. 1 coal and coke plant, and work on developments is progressing as rapidly as possible. Grading on railroad sidings has begun. Ties are being rapidly made for same and delivered along the route. Timber for tipples and houses are
being prepared and buildings about to commence. The company is in a prosperous condition is beyond doubt a safe and profitable investment.
Opportunity Lies Within The Reach of All: The power to see it is the difference in men. In union there is strength. Never forget, the right men perusing the right methods are a tower of great strength.
Timber and coal industries are of the industries of the world to do without them is an impossibility. Our men tower in strength in professional and business world and our success means yours if interested with us. Mehan says: The road to the poor house is to be paved with wasted opportunities, fenced by small thoughts, has bridges built of hesitation and lies thick with the blinding dust of afterwhiles.
