George Senft, general manager of the Ligonier Valley railroad, announces the completion of an important improvement at Latrobe by which the Ligonier Valley secures better connections with the through trains of the Pennsylvania railroad. The completion of the new terminals and the elevation of Pennsylvania railroad tracks through Latrobe has made it possible to run the Ligonier trains alongside the Pennsylvania tracks, thus avoiding the former inconvenience of transferring from one road to the other. General Manager Senft also states that the company has put in new track and made other improvements in the vicinity of Idlewild park that are of great advantage in handling the picnic business.
